Privacy Policy

Account details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, and, for drivers, vehicle and payout information.

Trip information: pickup and drop-off locations, routes, fares, times, and ratings.

Location data: while you use the app, we process your device location to match you with nearby drivers, show live tracking, and calculate fares.

Payment information: when you pay by Mobile Money or card, the payment is handled by our payment processor. Getder does not store your full card number.

Device and usage information: app version, device type, and basic diagnostics that help us keep the service reliable.

To provide the service: match riders and drivers, show upfront fares, enable live tracking, process payments, and support you when something goes wrong.

To keep everyone safe: verify drivers, investigate reports, and enforce our terms.

To improve Getder: understand which features help and where the experience can be better.

To communicate with you: send trip receipts, service updates, and, if you joined the waitlist, a notice when we launch in your city.

Between riders and drivers: to complete a trip, a rider and their assigned driver see the limited details needed (for example, first name, rating, vehicle, and live location during the trip).

With payment providers: to process Mobile Money and card payments securely.

With service providers: mapping, messaging, and hosting partners who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.

For legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

We do not sell your personal data.

You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and object to certain processing, consistent with Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

To make a request, email hello@getder.app from the address on your account and we will respond within a reasonable time.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe.

Getder is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy as Getder grows. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
